It’s with a heavy heart that we announce the passings of Mayor Henry Peavy and former Mayor Rufus Carson. Their service to our town and the memories of their work will not be forgotten.

Mayor Henry Peavy’s funeral is Saturday, December 7, 2024, 11:00am at Shady Grove Baptist Church.
Mayor Rufus Carson’s funeral is Saturday, December 7, 2024, 1:00pm at Greater Saint Mark Baptist Church.

Mid-South RC&D Grant
New Sign installation
The Town of Franklin is deeply appreciative of the Mid-South RC&D grant that enabled us to purchase and install a new sign for Franklin Town Hall with a message board to keep everyone informed and up to date. Franklin Residents, stay tuned for local announcements of meetings and events in our town. Thank you to the Mid-South RC&D Staff, Board of Directors and our Local Legislators for helping to make this happen!
